Dr. Regis is a compassionate physician who enjoys helping patients to manage their kidney diseases concerns and to live a healthier lifestyle.
She strives to provide the highest quality of care to her patients and to develop durable relationships based on trust and respect.
She is originally from Brazil, where she completed Medical School. During those years, she was able to participate in research and clinical externships at University of Minnesota and Harvard Medical School. She enjoyed the USA so much that she decided to do her postgraduate training here.
After completing her Internal Medicine Residency at University of Miami, she went to work as an Internal Medicine Physician and an Assistant Professor of Medicine at VCU.
Sometime later, she realized that her real passion was Nephrology and went to pursue fellowship at University of Miami Miller School of Medicine/Jackson Memorial Hospital (#1 kidney transplant center in the country).
In July 2020, Dr Regis joined Richmond Nephrology Associates and currently works at the Hioaks office. She is also the Medical Director at the Hopkins Dialysis Unit.
Languages spoken include English, Spanish and Portuguese.
Dr. Regis is a member of the American Society of Nephrology, American Medical Association and Richmond Academy of Medicine.
